20 & 40 Hour Mediation Trainings | Enneagram and Negotiation Training

Throughout the year, Baltimore Mediation offers a series of 20- and 40-hour trainings in conflict transformation and mediation that you can take in any order or combination to build your mediation experience and meet your training requirements for mediating professionally. Some trainings focus on important areas of practice such as Enneagram and negotiation training, some approach mediation more generally, but all our mediation trainings provide you with the building blocks and core skills you need to start mediating and each course contributes to a fuller understanding of the mediation process.

June 40-Hour Mediation Training – A 40-Hour Training focusing on Workplace, Third Party Intervention and Self-Awareness

Trainer: Louise Phipps Senft, Esq.

Description:

This is a certificated 40-hour mediation training, part of our Mediation Core Curriculum designed to teach you everything you need to know to start mediating, either professionally or for daily use and practice. We’ll focus on mediation, conflict transformation and resolution theory and skills, with an emphasis on fostering self-awareness to reduce personal reactivity, as well as reflection and active listening techniques to facilitate communication. The course emphasizes the following:

What’s Included: 40-hour certificated course, training manual and materials.

A certificate noting 40 hours of attendance will be provided at the end of training. It may be used to apply for state circuit court rosters of approved mediators and for continuing education credits from the participant’s accrediting institution.

This training is approved by and/or a certificate of successful completion of this training may be used to satisfy the requirements of the following:

Cancellation Policy:

Participants may cancel their registration at least 15 business days prior to the start date of the training to be entitled to a full refund. Cancellations received 7 business days prior to the start date of the training to be entitled to a 50% refund. Cancellations received less than 7 business day prior to the start date will not be subject to any refund. This policy is due to the high level of customization each of our programs is subject to, based on the number of people that have registered and space limitations.

December 40-Hour Mediation Training – A 40-Hour Immersion in the Baltimore Mediation Core Curriculum

This is a certificated 40-hour mediation training, a comprehensive immersion in our Mediation Core Curriculum designed to teach you everything you need to know to start mediating, either professionally or for daily use and practice. We’ll focus on mediation, conflict transformation and resolution theory and skills, taking plenty of time over the five day training to instruct, discuss and reinforce the fundamental mediator skills and responsibilities, supported by group work, role-plays and directed feedback from trained mediators. January 20-Hour Advanced Mediation Training – Custody, Visitation & Child Support

Learn the skills and receive the certification required to mediate family disputes and custody issues

Advanced 20-hour mediation and conflict transformation and resolution theory and skills course with a focus on the following:

20 hours of classroom time, live role-plays with qualified mediators supervising, training hand-outs and manual.

A certificate noting 20 hours of attendance will be provided at the end of training. It may be used for continuing education for state circuit court rosters of approved mediators and for continuing education credits from the participant’s accrediting institution.
