This course is lead by Louise Phipps Senft, the author of the best-selling book: Being Relational: the Seven Ways to Quality Interaction & Lasting Change. All registrants will receive a signed copy of the best-seller.
This is a certificated 40-hour Mediation and Conflict Transformation Skills training, from the Relational approach. This nationally recognized course is a comprehensive immersion in our Mediation Core Curriculum designed to teach you everything you need to know to start mediating, either professionally or for daily use and practice. We’ll focus on mediation, conflict transformation and resolution skills, relational conflict theory,, taking plenty of time over the five day training to instruct, discuss and reinforce the fundamental mediator skills and responsibilities, supported by group work, role-plays and directed feedback from skilled transformative mediators on the Baltimore Mediation team. This course provides the tools
and theory critical in transforming conflict in all areas of conflict and dispute: family, business, workplace, community, lawsuits and legal claims, and working with counsel and other third party representatives in mediation.

What’s Included: A 40-hour certificated course held over a period of five consecutive days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday), Copyrighted 275 page training manual, copy of the Best-Seller Being Relational: the Seven Ways to Quality Interaction & Lasting Change and materials.
A certificate noting 40 hours of participation will be provided at the end of training for each person completing the course. It may be used to apply for state circuit court rosters of approved mediators and for continuing education credits from the participant’s accrediting institution.
